June is bittersweet for me every year. In September I met a new group of students. I looked at them wondering what the year would hold. Will this be another group of students I will cherish? How long will it take for me to learn their names – usually two days. As the year progresses I learn more about their individual quirky personalities. Every day something happens that makes me laugh. I appreciate that laughter. By June they are so excited for summer and thrilled to be moving to the big kids’ hallway while I am a little heartbroken. Instead of being joyful that I will have several weeks to relax, regroup, and reorganize, I realize I am going to miss these little ones. Who will I meet in September? Will they be as adorable?
